Membership Website

British Aviation Group

The British Aviation Group is the leading representative body for British companies in aviation and airport development, connecting global clients to the full spectrum of UK aviation expertise. We gave BAG a website to tell that story, and the membership software to run the organisation behind it.

About

A public face and a private engine, together

BAG needed its website to do two very different jobs at once: present the organisation compellingly to the global aviation industry, and handle the practical machinery of membership behind the scenes. We brought two platforms together to deliver both. WordPress powers a flexible, easy-to-manage public website, while our specialist membership software runs the member directory, online registration and approval, and the members’ document library, giving the BAG team one joined-up solution rather than two disconnected systems.

The challenge

Represent an industry, and administer it too

A representative body is judged on how well it showcases its members and how smoothly it serves them. BAG needed a public website that reflected the standing of British aviation, promoting members, business opportunities, industry news and events to a global audience, and, at the same time, membership infrastructure that could handle directory listings, new member registration and approval, and secure access to members’ documents. Off-the-shelf website tools couldn’t stretch to both.

The solution

The right tool for each job, joined up

We built BAG’s public site on WordPress, chosen for its flexibility, ease of use and natural search strengths, so the team could keep news, events and business opportunities current without technical help. Behind it, we deployed our specialist membership software to manage the parts a website alone can’t: a searchable member directory, an online registration and approval workflow, and a members’ document library. Together they gave BAG a single platform that serves both the wider industry and its own members.

The impact

One platform serving members and industry alike

BAG got a website that represents British aviation with the authority the sector expects, backed by membership tools that streamline the day-to-day running of the organisation. Members get a directory, business opportunities and a document library in one place; the BAG team gets processes that manage themselves; and the wider industry gets a clear window into UK aviation expertise.
